The main reason for the migration of pigments in colored plastics is that pigments are dissolved in plastics and plasticizers to varying degrees under high temperature conditions in plastic processing, followed by the rigidity of the molecular chain of plastic materials and the tightness between molecules. When the amount of plasticizer in the plastic increases, the molecular distance increases, the structure is more loose, thus reducing the interaction of the polymer chain, so that the pigment migration rate increases, especially when the soft polyvinyl chloride coloring pigment should pay more attention.
The determination of pigment migration is to observe the degree of migration contamination on the white PVC sheet after the colored PVC sheet and the white PVC sheet are closely attached to each other at a certain pressure and temperature for a certain period of time, and judge it by standard gray card.
