For a person who is more sensitive to visual sensing, the presence of color dots will be perceived when the size of pigment particles is greater than 20μm.

The coarse particles will not only make the product surface spots, striations, but also in the extrusion or other molding process of the phenomenon such as blocking network and affect the normal production.

For general plastic products, when the particle size of the pigment in the products is greater than 10μm, it may lead to the low gross of the product surface; When the particle size is less than 5μm, it can fully meet the requirements of the production and appearance; However, for products with more strict requirements, such particle dispersion may also affect the mechanical properties, electrical properties and processing properties of the products.

For fiber (single wire diameter is 20~30μm) and ultra-thin film (film thickness is less than 10μm), the particle size of the pigment should be less than 1μm. In addition, for fiber applications, the control of pigment granularity is highly related to filter mesh used in spinning and the fineness of the final fiber.
